Rating: the hose must exceed the machine's PSI, and hot water machines need a hose rated for hot water. 50 foot, 100 foot and 200 foot pressure washer hoses

Fifty feet reaches around a car or across a bay and is the length most machines ship with. One hundred feet lets a mobile detailer or house washer park once and work the whole property, and it is the length that lives on a truck reel. Two hundred feet is a fleet yard, a roof rig or a commercial reel where the machine never moves. Longer hose costs a little pressure at the gun, roughly 100 PSI per 100 feet of 3/8 inch hose, which no commercial machine notices.

Hot water pressure washer hoses

A hot water machine needs a hose rated for hot water, which means a wrapped rubber hose with a wire braid that holds its rating at 250 degrees. The Simpson wrapped rubber hoses in 4,500, 8,000 and 10,000 PSI are hot and cold rated; the Monster, Morflex and Armor extension hoses are for cold water machines and soften on a hot unit.

4,500 PSI, 6,000 PSI and 10,000 PSI hoses

Match the rating to the machine with room to spare. Homeowner and light commercial units to 4,000 PSI run a 4,500 PSI hose. Contractor units to 5,000 PSI run the 6,000 PSI Pressure-Pro non marking hoses. Hot water skids and industrial units run the 8,000 and 10,000 PSI wrapped rubber hoses, which also survive a truck bed, a hose reel and being dragged over concrete every day.

3/8 inch or 1/2 inch

3/8 inch is the commercial standard and fits every quick connect gun and reel here. Above about 5 GPM, or on a run of 200 feet, a 1/2 inch hose keeps the flow up and the pressure loss down; the 8 GPM truck mounts and skids want 1/2 inch. The 1/4 and 5/16 inch hoses are light extension hoses for homeowner machines.

Non marking hoses

A black rubber hose leaves scuffs on a customer's driveway, deck or showroom floor. The gray Pressure-Pro non marking hoses in 4,000 and 6,000 PSI leave nothing behind, which is why detailers and house washers who work on property they do not own buy gray.

Fittings and quick connects

Most hoses here carry 3/8 inch quick connect fittings on both ends, which match the guns, reels and machines on this site. The Kranzle 50 foot hose uses the Kranzle fitting for the K series. What size pressure washer hose do I need?
3/8 inch for almost every commercial machine up to about 5 GPM, 1/2 inch for 8 GPM hot water units and long runs, 1/4 or 5/16 inch only as extension hose on a homeowner unit. Match the rating to the machine with room to spare.
How long should a pressure washer hose be?

Can I use any hose with a hot water pressure washer?
