A pressure washer skid bolts into a truck bed or onto a trailer and stays there; a pressure washer trailer arrives ready to tow with the machine, a water tank and a hose reel on one frame. Both are the machine for a business that washes where the customer is: fleet washing, mobile detailing, house and roof washing, equipment yards, oilfield service. The 88 units here are 75 skids and 13 trailers from 2,400 to 5,100 PSI and 3 to 10 GPM, 34 of them hot water, gas engine and diesel, built by Pressure-Pro, Cam Spray, BE Power Equipment and Simpson. Skid or trailer is the first decision. A skid is the machine only, priced from about the cost of a portable unit, and it needs a truck or a trailer you already own plus a tank. A trailer unit is the whole rig and tows behind any pickup. The second decision is flow: 4 GPM for a detailing or house wash rig, 5.5 to 8 GPM for fleets and equipment. Skid or trailer

A skid is the pressure washer on a steel frame with lifting points and no wheels: it bolts to a truck bed, a service body or a trailer deck and stays. It costs the least and fits the truck you own. A trailer unit is a complete rig: machine, tank, reel, sometimes a hot box, on a single axle trailer that tows behind a half ton pickup. Buy a skid if you have the truck and want to build the rig; buy a trailer if you want to hook up and go.

Building a pressure washer trailer setup

A working rig is a skid, a 200 to 500 gallon tank, a reel with 200 feet of hose, a way to fill the tank, and a float valve so the machine never runs dry. The hose reels, tank fill pumps and hot boxes collections hold the parts; the skids below are the machine. Most house wash and detailing rigs run a 4 GPM skid; fleet rigs run 5.5 to 8 GPM.

Cold water skids

The Pressure-Pro Eagle II and Pro-Skid units at 2,700 to 4,200 PSI and 3 to 4 GPM are the entry skids for detailing and house washing rigs; the BE truck mounts at 3,200 to 5,100 PSI and 5.2 to 10 GPM and the Pressure-Pro HDC units are the fleet and flatwork skids. All gas, most on Honda.

Hot water skids

Thirty four of the units heat the water with a diesel fired burner, which is what a fleet, an equipment yard or a food plant rig needs: the Simpson Truck Mount units at 5 to 10 GPM, the Pressure-Pro Dirt Laser SK skids and Pro-Super Skid line at 4 to 8 GPM, the Cam Spray MCB skids, and the diesel engine skids that run engine and burner on one fuel. Pressure washer trailers

Thirteen trailer units: the Pressure-Pro Tow-Pro line at 3,500 PSI and 5.5 to 8 GPM, cold and hot, and the Cam Spray HT, BT, DTE and DXE trailers with gas and diesel engines. Each arrives with the tank and reel mounted and tows behind a pickup.

Freight, delivery and returns on machines

Free freight to the lower 48. Machines ship new from the manufacturer by freight carrier at no charge to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift, or to the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup. Orders are prepared within 0 to 1 business days and delivery takes 5 to 8 business days.

No dock or forklift? Ask for liftgate delivery when you order and we quote it before anything ships, so there is never a surprise charge at the curb. The carrier calls ahead to schedule the delivery, and a crate of this size lands curbside, not inside the building.

On delivery. Inspect the crate before signing. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it. We file the claim with the carrier, and if a replacement is needed we ship it.

Returns. Unused machines in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. A 20 percent restocking fee applies and return freight is the buyer's responsibility, which is why we would rather confirm the model before it ships: send the job, the water and the power on site through the form on this page and we check the spec against the machine. What is the difference between a skid and a trailer pressure washer?
A skid is the machine on a frame with no wheels that bolts into a truck bed or onto a trailer you own. A trailer unit is the complete rig, machine, tank and reel on a trailer, ready to tow.
What size tank does a pressure washer trailer need?
200 gallons runs a 4 GPM skid for about 50 minutes of trigger time; 300 to 500 gallons for fleet rigs at 5.5 to 8 GPM. A float valve and a fill pump keep it topped up on site.
Can I put a skid in a pickup bed?
Yes. Skids are built for it, with lifting points and a footprint that fits between the wheel wells. Bolt it through the bed and add a tank and a reel.
Do skids come with a hose reel and tank?
No. Skids are the machine only. Trailer units include the tank and reel. Reels, fill pumps and hot boxes are in their own collections.
Which skid do I need for fleet washing?
5.5 to 8 GPM with hot water: the Simpson Truck Mount, Pressure-Pro Pro-Super Skid and Dirt Laser SK units, or a BE truck mount with a hot box.
