A Honda pressure washer is a pressure washer built on a Honda GX engine, and the reason buyers ask for it by name is starting: a GX starts on the first or second pull for years, parts are at every small engine shop in the country, and a crew never waits on the machine. The 114 machines here carry a Honda engine from the GX200 at 196cc on the 2,700 to 3,400 PSI units, through the GX270 and GX390 on the 4,000 PSI class, to the GX690 V twin on the 8 and 10 GPM hot water units, built by Simpson, Pressure-Pro and BE Power Equipment. All ship new from the manufacturer through High Pressure Car Washer, an authorized dealer for all three, with free shipping to the lower 48 states.

Honda makes the engine, not the machine, so the pump, the frame and the burner come from the builder. That is why the same GX390 shows up on an entry level Simpson PowerShot, a Pressure-Pro truck bed skid and a BE hot water unit at several times the price: the engine is the constant, the rest is the job. The guide under the products matches the engine sizes to the PSI classes, covers the Honda hot water units and skids, and the picks name the machine for each job. Every unit here also appears in gas pressure washers.

Why a Honda engine on a pressure washer

Three reasons crews pay the Honda premium. It starts: the GX series is the benchmark for cold starts and long storage. It lasts: a GX at full load on a triplex pump runs thousands of hours with oil changes and a clean air filter. It is serviceable everywhere: every small engine shop stocks GX parts. The same machine with a Kohler or a house brand engine costs less and does the same work; Honda is the choice when downtime costs more than the engine.

Honda GX200 pressure washers

The 196cc GX200 powers the 2,700 to 3,400 PSI class at 2.5 to 3 GPM: the Simpson Clean Machine and Pro Power units, the Pressure-Pro Eagle II E3027 and E3032, and the BE 3,200 PSI units. Driveways, decks, siding, small shops and mobile detailers.

Honda GX270 and GX390 pressure washers

The 270cc and 389cc engines power the contractor class: 3,500 to 4,400 PSI at 4 GPM on the Simpson PowerShot and Water Blaster, the Pressure-Pro Eagle II 4040 and 4042 units and skids, and the BE 4,200 PSI units. The GX390 also drives the 4,000 PSI hot water portables from Pressure-Pro and BE.

Honda GX690 pressure washers

The 688cc V twin is the fleet engine: 8 to 10 GPM cold water truck mounts from BE, the 8 GPM Pressure-Pro Pro units, and the 5.5 to 8.5 GPM hot water machines that clear a tractor trailer. See hot water pressure washers.

Honda hot water pressure washers

A Honda engine drives the pump and a 12 volt system runs a diesel fired burner: the Pressure-Pro Hot Shot and Pro-Super Skid units, the BE HW series and the Simpson King Brute and Truck Mount lines. Grease, road film, fleets and equipment.

Honda pressure washer skids and trailers

Most of the skids on this site run Honda: Pressure-Pro Eagle II and Pro-Skid units at 2,700 to 4,200 PSI, BE truck mounts to 10 GPM, and the hot water skids. See pressure washer skids and trailers.

Honda pressure washers we recommend by job

Simpson PS4240 for contractors

The Simpson PowerShot PS4240 is 4,200 PSI at 4.0 GPM on a Honda GX390 at a working price.

BE BE3265HA for home and light use

The BE BE3265HA puts a Honda GX200 on a 3,200 PSI 2.8 GPM unit for driveways and siding.

Pressure-Pro 4012-42HV for hot water on wheels

The Pressure-Pro Hot Shot 4012-42HV is 4,200 PSI at 4.0 GPM of hot water on a Honda engine.

BE B3528HETBGS for fleets

The BE B3528HETBGS truck mount moves 10 GPM at 3,500 PSI on a Honda GX690 with electric start.

Freight, delivery and returns on machines

Free freight to the lower 48. Machines ship new from the manufacturer by freight carrier at no charge to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift, or to the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup. Orders are prepared within 0 to 1 business days and delivery takes 5 to 8 business days.

No dock or forklift? Ask for liftgate delivery when you order and we quote it before anything ships, so there is never a surprise charge at the curb. The carrier calls ahead to schedule the delivery, and a crate of this size lands curbside, not inside the building.

On delivery. Inspect the crate before signing. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it. We file the claim with the carrier, and if a replacement is needed we ship it.

Returns. Unused machines in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. A 20 percent restocking fee applies and return freight is the buyer's responsibility, which is why we would rather confirm the model before it ships: send the job, the water and the power on site through the form on this page and we check the spec against the machine. Full terms are on the shipping policy and return policy pages.

Honda Pressure Washers questions, answered

Does Honda make pressure washers?
Honda makes the engines. Simpson, Pressure-Pro, BE and others build the pump, frame and burner around a Honda GX engine. Every machine here carries a Honda engine and the builder's own pump.
Which Honda engine do I need?
GX200 for the 2,700 to 3,400 PSI class, GX270 and GX390 for the 3,500 to 4,400 PSI contractor class and 4 GPM hot water units, GX690 for 8 to 10 GPM fleet machines.
Is a Honda engine worth the extra cost?
When downtime costs money, yes: it starts every time, runs thousands of hours and every small engine shop stocks parts. For a weekend machine a Kohler or house brand engine does the same work for less.
What oil and fuel does a Honda GX take?
10W 30 engine oil changed every 100 hours or each season, and fresh unleaded gasoline with no more than 10 percent ethanol, or ethanol free fuel if the machine sits between jobs.
Are the GX engines on these machines genuine Honda?
Yes. Every unit ships new from the manufacturer with a genuine Honda GX engine covered by Honda's engine warranty in addition to the machine warranty.
How does shipping work?
Shipping is free to the lower 48 states. Machines ship new from the manufacturer by freight carrier to a commercial address with a dock or forklift, or to the carrier's nearest terminal. No dock? Ask for liftgate delivery and we quote it before anything ships. Orders are prepared within 0 to 1 business days and delivery takes 5 to 8 business days.
Are these machines sold by an authorized dealer?
Yes. High Pressure Car Washer is an authorized dealer for BE Power Equipment, Cam Spray, Kranzle, Makinex, Pressure-Pro and Simpson, and every unit ships new from the manufacturer with its factory warranty.
What if I order the wrong machine?
Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery on unused units in original packaging. A 20 percent restocking fee applies and return freight is the buyer's responsibility. Find My Machine and the phone line exist so the model is confirmed before it ships.
