Why a diesel engine on a pressure washer
Torque at low speed, fuel economy under load, and hours: an industrial diesel like the Kohler KDW1003 on the Pressure-Pro skids is rated for a working life that a small gas engine cannot match, and it sips fuel while turning an 8 GPM pump. The cost is the engine price, which is why diesel makes sense on a machine that runs every day and lives on a truck, and not on a weekend unit.
Diesel hot water pressure washers
Seven of the ten machines here heat the water, all with diesel fired burners, so the engine and the burner drink from one tank. The Pressure-Pro Pro-Super Skid line puts 5.5 and 8 GPM of 250 degree water on a skid frame with 12 volt electric start and burner controls. Cam Spray builds the same idea as a portable, a skid and a trailer. Use the hot water units for fleets, heavy equipment, oilfield and anything greasy; the wider hot water range, gas and electric, is in hot water pressure washers.
Diesel engine cold water units
The Pressure-Pro Eagle Diesel portable and the Cam Spray diesel trailers run cold water from a diesel engine: the pick for a contractor or a municipality that wants the engine hours and the single fuel without the burner. They also carry hot water later with a hot box.
Skids and trailers
A skid bolts into a truck bed or onto a trailer you already own and stays there, which is the right answer for a service truck. A trailer unit arrives ready to tow with its own water tank, hose reel and frame, the answer when the machine needs to move between crews or sites without a dedicated truck. Portable diesel units on wheels suit a yard with a fixed water supply.
Flow for fleets and equipment
Flow does the work on trailers, tanks and equipment. A 4 GPM diesel unit handles pickups and light equipment; 5.5 GPM clears trucks; 8 GPM at 3,500 to 4,000 PSI is the oilfield and heavy equipment class that finishes a rig wash in a fraction of the time. Every unit above 5 GPM wants a tank and a feed pump, not a garden hose.
Diesel pressure washers we recommend by job
Four picks for the four ways these machines get used.
Pressure-Pro 8012PRO-40KLDG for oilfield services
The Pressure-Pro Pro-Super Skid 8012PRO-40KLDG is 4,000 PSI at 8.0 GPM of hot water on a Kohler diesel with 12 volt electric start, the rig wash machine.
Pressure-Pro 6012PRO-40KLDG for municipal and fleet trucks
The Pressure-Pro Pro-Super Skid 6012PRO-40KLDG runs 4,000 PSI at 5.5 GPM hot water on the same Kohler diesel, sized for a fleet garage truck.
Pressure-Pro E4032KLDGE for contractors who want cold water
The Pressure-Pro Eagle Diesel E4032KLDGE is a 3,200 PSI 4.0 GPM diesel engine portable unit, the engine hours and the single fuel without the burner.
Cam Spray 3000DXE for a tow behind unit
The Cam Spray 3000DXE trailer mounted pressure washer puts 3,000 PSI and 4 GPM on a trailer with its own tank and reel, ready to tow between sites.
Freight, delivery and returns on machines
Free freight to the lower 48. Machines ship new from the manufacturer by freight carrier at no charge to a commercial address with a loading dock or forklift, or to the carrier's nearest terminal for pickup. Orders are prepared within 0 to 1 business days and delivery takes 5 to 8 business days.
Liftgate service, $95 flat. No dock or forklift? Choose liftgate service when you add the machine to the cart. The carrier calls ahead to schedule, brings the crate to your address and lowers it to the ground with a liftgate. It lands at the curb or driveway, not inside the building. One flat fee per order, whatever the machine weighs.
On delivery. Inspect the crate before signing. Note any damage on the delivery receipt and photograph it. We file the claim with the carrier, and if a replacement is needed we ship it.
Returns. Unused machines in original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. A 20 percent restocking fee applies and return freight is the buyer's responsibility, and a refused freight delivery is handled the same way, which is why we would rather confirm the model before it ships: send the job, the water and the power on site through the form on this page and we check the spec against the machine. Full terms are on the shipping policy and return policy pages.
